DONE!!!!!

Here is the completed 100 Good wishes quilt for Mia! It only took me 6 months to do..whew, glad it's done. Click on the pictures to get a close up view.

OHGW quilt progress

Mia's quilt is currently being quilted, there was no way I would attempt to quilt that beautiful piece of work on my own. It should be done by December 15th and then all I will need to finish is the binding. Will post when it comes back.

Quilt from Aunt Kerri

Today Kerri gave me a quilt that she made for Mia. Sneaky girl Kerri is, she did this by herself at home and never even told me about it. (We are working on quilt at work in our down-time) Anyway it was a huge surprise and we just love it - thhis is definately on my packing list for china-maybe even my carry on to snuggle with on the way over!

Here is the finished top, need to add the 4 inches of sashing around the edges then off to be quilted.

The Last Square!!!!!

Here is the last square of fabric that is going in Mia's quilt. Actually it was one of the very first squares and the quilt was built around this. Thank you to the Bussell family, I kow the Cardinals will always be watching out for us!

Since our wait time has extended I have decided to "split" my squares-or continue with my feeding frenzy-splitting is easier on my waistline!

Here is an example of what "splitting" looks like (will get a better picture tomorrow). I will definitely need a lot more squares to accomplish this.

I use 2 pieces that are cut to 5" then match up the colors and pair it together.
