Position is everything in the quilt

Today I had this red square embroidered for Mia's quilt...now I just can't decide where to place it.

Since our wait time has extended I have decided to "split" my squares-or continue with my feeding frenzy-splitting is easier on my waistline!

Here is an example of what "splitting" looks like (will get a better picture tomorrow). I will definitely need a lot more squares to accomplish this.

I use 2 pieces that are cut to 5" then match up the colors and pair it together.

Progress of the quilt

Here are some of the squares up on the wall @ our station. I'm trying to get some kind of pattern going with the colors.

If you do not see your square up it is either because it has not been cut yet, you haven't sent it yet OR there was a salvage edge and I was not able to use it.

As you can see there are still many empty spaces and I am still collecting.
